Operating as an access point to care, Shared Harmony’s 24-Hour Addiction Services offers addiction-specific urgent care services to individuals needing immediate observation and stabilization.

Once evaluated and stabilized, the individual is presented with the appropriate level of care for their personal, unique needs, whether outpatient treatment or inpatient detoxification, which is also provided by Shared Harmony’s 24-Hour Addiction Services, or at another facility.

A massive cost to the healthcare system is the overuse of emergency rooms and psychiatric facilities for patients suffering from substance use disorder, and their critical need for both immediate medical detoxification and referrals to longer-term inpatient and outpatient treatment.

Chief Executive Officer

Christine Stevens has been working in the substance use treatment and recovery field for over 20 years and has committed her life to find ways to better serve those looking to find a way out of addiction.

Christine owned and operated a successful recovery housing business for many years, where she provided housing to formerly incarcerated women. It was during this time she learned how critical housing and supportive services are to those seeking to recover from a substance use addiction.

Holding a degree in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University, Christine successfully grew a small 10-bed treatment center to over 150 beds across Arizona and Nevada as Chief Compliance Officer and successfully grew another local treatment center to over $10MM in revenue.

Christine has earned a reputation for being a transformational leader and building sustainable, positive cultures through the implementation of successful business models in a tough industry.

 

 

Julie Shaw

Chief Financial Officer

Julie Shaw is well-known as an expert financial storyteller. With nearly forty years of executive finance experience, including 29 years with USE Today/Gannett Corp. as Vice President of Finance at the Des Moines Register and the Arizona Republic. Julie’s ability to ‘explain the story the numbers tell’ led Julie to be awarded the Gannett Presidents Ring for Top Executive Leadership five times. She is able to discern ‘the why’ behind the numbers, identifying system and process improvements that harness efficiencies that improve workflow and financial impact.

Before becoming an entrepreneur and opening Julie Shaw Consulting, LLC, Julie was the Chief Financial Officer for Valley Perinatal Services which allowed her to witness the challenges and triumphs of running a small business.

Julie is a CPA and earned her MBA from Drake University. Julie is also a Certified Exit Planner (CEPA). Julie’s passion for finance, servant leadership, building healthy communities and small business management perfectly align with her role as CFO of Shared Harmony.
